Thousand Pyramids is a traditional "one patch" quilt where a single shape is used for the pattern. In this case I choose a triangle for the template and the dark triangles face upwards and light ones face down. Create units for piecing as explained here and in the quilt tip The Scrap Look. Each of those units can be made with the same fabrics or for a more scrappy effect place different fabrics in the units. This is a great beginner quilt.

NOTE ON DOWNLOADING THE PATTERNS:
Each pattern has a mark showing 2 inches. Please check your printout to
make sure the sizing is correct. Try working with the on-line versions of the pattern first, if they do
not print to the correct size try the TIFF versions. To view TIFF files you must have a graphics
application such as Corel, Adobe Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro (available as Shareware), etc.
If you are having troubles mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to the address below to receive
a pattern.
