Meet The Staff

JINNY BEYER STUDIO is staffed by a small group of avid quilters with very diverse backgrounds. Most of us work something less than full time so we still have time to sew! On any one day, you’ll find some combination of us cutting fabric for you, making kits, packaging orders, or hunting for some good fabrics to coordinate with a swatch you sent us. One thing you can count on:  3:00 is Cookie Time!  (One of the “elves” bakes a new batch every week.)

Jinny is our “big boss”.  Although she does most of her work at home, she lives nearby so you’ll find her here often helping out when we’re overwhelmed with orders or by a tour bus of quilters! She is always happy to sign a book, kit or pattern for you.

Rebecca is our Shop Manager, responsible for making sure that the shop and mailorder are humming smoothly.  We give her all the hard stuff.

Dana does most of her work behind the scenes, making sure the website is up-to-date, brainstorming creative web specials, and working on our newsletter and blog posts.

As part of the marketing team, Nancy helps Jinny with the newsletter and blog and keeps you posted with shop happenings on Facebook. She also manages the Studio’s classes and gets to corral all of the excited quilters on our Quilters’ Quest Bus trip each fall.

Diane is our “Notions Queen!” She is always hunting for new and exciting gadgets and is responsible for keeping your favorite supplies in the shop.

Elaine writes the Studio’s patterns, maintains the website, and comes up with creative things to add to Jinny’s “to-do” list!

Lura‘s main focus is to keep the retail space humming. She likes to keep the shop looking fresh and well organized, orients new staff and loves to make kits!. Bring in your quilting questions and she’ll find the answer with the help of all the staff.

Cathy spent more than 40 years in government service as an Information Technology Specialist. Following retirement, she took a trip with Travel West escorted by Jinny Beyer.  Before the trip was over, Jinny offered her a position at the Studio.  As they say,
the rest is history.

Linda joined the staff at the Studio in 2002 . She learned to sew from her grandmother and to quilt from Jinny. A military spouse who hails from California, Linda enjoys quilting, teaching, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Julia created her first quilt in 1976, her second in 1981, then took a break until 1995. Quilting has supplied her with best friends, and given her a creative outlet in semi-retirement from her CPA career (Julia is our accountant here at the Studio). Now that every bed at home has several quilts, she finds joy making quilts for others. Quilting is her way of giving back to her community.

Judy has been sewing her entire life, taught by her grandmother and mother. She didn’t pick up the quilting bug until she saw Moon Glow back in the early 2000s and really started focusing on quilting when she retired. She is one of the quiet elves in the back room upstairs at the Studio helping to fill mail orders for customers and any other tasks needed to help the Studio run smoothly.

Kelley is an Arizona native and third generation quilter. She has been quilting for over 25 years. Her favorite projects are large quilts with small blocks and small projects like totes and zipper pouches. She loves learning from and working with the creative staff at Jinny Beyer Studio.

Elizabeth joined the Studio staff in February 2017. She learned to love to sew, knit and crochet from her mother while she was still in elementary school. With a background in accounting, and an attention to detail, she enjoys working on projects for her family and friends.
